These waterwheel pumps from ZM Bombas, Brazil, use only kinetic energy from falling water. From 2 liter to 70 liters per second water flow (by pipe or channel) is needed to fall onto the wheel which is the energy needed to turn the wheel and pump water, reaching heads of 100 to 200 meters over a distance of 10 kilometers.
